So… Who is Kevin J. Begley?

Kevin Begley is a ‘subsidiary' of Paul and Maureen Begley. Paul Begley was a real ‘piece of work’, and Maureen Begley is a work of art and soul.

I am an eclectic fellow, of Irish-German decent (this means my skin burns well, I’m easy to find at night when in the buff, and my genealogy has never been mistaken for someone with any pigment in their family tree).

I am also an engineer, and an attorney, so I am by nature, completely reasonable, un-opinionated, flexible, and tolerant of those whose ‘bulb’ does not burn too brightly.

In my first incarnation, I was a construction engineer for about 15 years, working all types of construction, from residential, to commercial, to industrial and nuclear power plant construction. In my current incarnation, I practice as a solo attorney. I spend about one-half of my time using my extensive engineering and construction background on construction and construction related litigation. I often will assist other attorneys on complex technical litigation matters where my background is uniquely helpful. The rest of my time is involved with varied legal matters, for individuals and businesses. The variety of my work keeps me from being bored doing just practicing a few types of law.

Besides construction and technology, my interests include motorcycles, boats, planes, photography and other typical 'male' interests.

I also consider myself a gadfly. I use the term ‘gadfly’ because this is how Diogenes (a.k.a. – “Diogenese the Dog”) described himself, and he was known for his critical commentary about political and social issues. I do not delude myself into thinking that I will be able to cause some great shift in human consciousness by getting on my soapbox, but I also feel that to truly be entitled to the right to bitch about something, you should know something of which you are speaking, and be making some effort to add some good karma to the world.
